Skin rejuvenation has come a long way in recent years. As new technologies develop, the treatments available also deliver more noticeable and long-lasting results. As our skin begins to show signs of aging, we don’t need to sit by and let it overwhelm us. One of the latest ways to fight aging skin is through Morpheus8, laser skin resurfacing treatment.

Dr. Cole at Cole Aesthetic Center is proud to offer this revolutionary new means of skin resurfacing. Morpheus8 is a combination of traditional and cutting-edge techniques that can bring you a restored appearance without resorting to surgical methods.

What is Morpheus8 About?

Morpheus8 combines the traditional treatment of microneedling with the power of radiofrequency (RF). Microneedling uses tiny punctures to encourage your body to produce collagen.

Collagen can be thought of as the building blocks of healthy and smooth skin. As we age, our supply of this material naturally begins to decrease.

When combined with RF, the results are increased by an impressive degree. The RF aspect not only further encourages the production of collagen, but it also dissolves fat.

The end result is that your target area not only tightens up but has a more sculpted appearance as well. Some of the unique benefits of this treatment include:

  • Works well with almost all skin tones
  • Delivers an even, uniform effect
  • Provides deep, yet safe, treatment

What Areas Can Morpheus8 Treat?

Pretty much anywhere. Morpheus8 can treat and benefit any area of the body that would react well to sud-dermal stimulation. The most popular areas to address are the neck and lower face areas. However, you can also target other areas such as the legs, abdomen, and arms.

Anywhere that is affected by wrinkles, acne scarring, or even stretch marks could be a treatable area.

Part of what makes Morpheus8 stand out from traditional microneedling is that is can adjust the puncture depth. This means that Dr. Cole can match the treatment more effectively to each area of the body.

Our Clients

We take extra care to make sure that our patients are at the center of everything we do. Our core values are established to bring…

The Process

The length of the treatment depends on the number of areas you are looking to address. Most sessions last under an hour.

Also, depending on the extent of rejuvenation needed, multiple sessions could be required.

Since Morpheus8 is non-surgical, you will only need a local anesthetic or numbing cream. Most patients report feeling little more than you would from pinching your skin with tweezers. More sensitive areas, such as the face and eye area, can have slight discomfort.

The good news is treating these sensitive areas shouldn’t take more than 20 minutes.

Still, if the thought of the procedure gives you anxiety, speak with Dr. Cole. He can work with you to determine if there are any other measures we can take to make the experience maximally comfortable for you.

The Laser Skin Resurfacing Procedure

Dr. Cole uses the Morpheus8 machine slightly differently for each area. Some areas require deeper treatment, while others will benefit from a treatment closer to the skin’s surface.

RF energy flows from the microneedles and through your skin. The RF energy moves through your lower layers of skin, liquefying fat cells, and tightening collagen fibers. Sculpting and tightening occur simultaneously.

Results and Recovery

Immediately following the treatment, the targeted area will be sensitive. Expect some redness, swelling, and bruising. This is entirely normal, and compresses and ice can help keep this under control.

Swelling decreases quickly for most patients. After a few days, it should drop, though your skin may still be sensitive. Larger areas that received deeper treatment might remain sensitive for a week or more.

We recommend taking a week off work. During this time, avoid strenuous activity. You likely will feel back to your usual self pretty quickly. Still, we advise letting your body have plenty of time to heal. Resting and relaxing will actually help improve the results.

When Will I See Results?

As the redness fades, you’ll notice results right away. But it gets even better. As your body heals and reacts to the treatment, it will continue to produce new collagen. Over the next few months, you will see continued improvement.

For more stubborn target areas, we might need to conduct several sessions to reach your full potential results.

Am I a Candidate for Morpheus8?

Similar to other InMode RF treatments, the recommended age range for candidates is between 30-60 years old. Patients outside of this range might still be able to benefit from this treatment, so be sure to ask Dr. Cole during your consultation if Morpheus8 is an option for you.

For patients suffering from excessive sagging or drooping skin, a surgical procedure could more likely help you reach your goals. RF treatment, such as Morpheus8, works best when treating skin laxity before it progresses to a certain point. For this reason, it has become quite popular among younger crowds as well.
