Botox Injection

Years of squinting, concentrating, or frowning can cause your skin to furrow and crease. As your skin becomes less elastic, those moderate to severe frown lines remain—even when your muscles are not contracting. Botox has been used over the last twenty or more years in the United States by many talented physicians. Botox is used to minimize and prevent wrinkles of the forehead, crows feet, and glabella (the area between the eyebrows) and can even lift some eyebrow sagging.

How Does Botox Work?

With a few tiny injections, Botox blocks nerve impulses to the injected muscles, which reduces the muscle activity, causing those persistent wrinkles to form. This reduced muscle activity helps reduce the appearance of minor to moderate wrinkles and frown lines between your brows.

Treatment appointments last about 25 minutes, but sometimes are done even faster. Each treatment is done through a series of tiny injections – no anesthetic is required. You can expect to see your results within about two weeks after your treatment, and the appearance of the area may continue to improve for up to a month or so. We usually suggest a re-treatment in about three to four months.

During your initial consultation, we will help you to determine the areas that need the most correction based on your ability to move certain facial muscles.
